Introduction:
This course introduces the essential elements of health and safety legislation as it applies in dental practice. Implementation of this legislation should not be done in a one size fits all manner.
Practice documentation must demonstrate that it is practice specific.
By the end of the course the attendee will be informed of basic health and safety principles that may be assessed at the time of a health and safety inspection.
The course addresses essential topics such as:
- How to create or update a practice-specific safety statement.
- How to carry out a risk assessment and which priority topics should be assessed.
- What are the legal obligations as they apply to dental employers and employees?
- What level of documentary evidence, personnel training, and practice governance meets the minimum standards?
Online course length: 45 minutes | 0.75 CPD core points | Certificate of attendance
